The area around Bellewaerde Park

Wonders of the Westhoek.

Working in the Westhoek

Bellewaerde Park is one of Belgium’s biggest theme parks. We welcome around 700,000 visitors to our park every year. And we have a whole team of staff ready to make sure all those visitors have the time of their lives.
Around 60 permanent staff work at Bellewaerde Park all year round. This number rises to around 125 team members during the park’s opening season. On the busiest days, up to 300 employees are hard at work. Bellewaerde Park is thus a substantial employer in the region.

Want to join our team?

As a Bellewaerde Park employee, you’ll find yourself in a unique working environment. Not only that, the working atmosphere is excellent and you’ll meet lots of different people every day. Providing great service and a positive attitude are really important and help make every visit to Bellewaerde Park an unforgettable adventure.

Ypres – city of peace

A trip to Ypres today is an unforgettable experience, thanks to its medieval charm and the many monuments to the turbulent wartime past. Visit the city’s website to find out all about things to see and do in and around Ypres.

Staying in the Westhoek

Welcome home to the Westhoek. Where the owners of hotels, B&Bs, holiday apartments, farmstays and hostels greet you with open arms!

By the way, at many places to stay you’ll also receive a free Westhoek Advantage Card. The Card gives you nearly €60 of discounts, especially on museum entry (In Flanders Fields Museum, The Yzer Tower, the Tobacco Museum and more), and, of course, at Bellewaerde Park.

Waste and the environment at Bellewaerde Park

Nature is important to everyone at Bellewaerde Park, as you have probably seen during your visit to the park. We make every effort to make our work as environmentally friendly as possible.

For example: recyclables and other waste are separated into 2 types of waste bins.
We also have a solution for our wastewater, in the form of our own purifying reed bed.
